Visits to Whangarei on October 31, 2009
Last Saturday, Sowers Music joint various churches from Auckland to Whangarei to meet and reach out to a group of China students and the local Chinese community. The day started off with basketball games with teams from both Auckland and Whangarei and was judged by the local Deputy Mayor. Then it followed by a wonderful BBQ, with very sumptuous dishes sponsored by many of the Auckland brothers and sisters. Later, another game of badminton, that saw 2 single (each from Auckland and Whangarei) challenging each other out. The trip ended off with a very hilarious and yet heart-warming Cantonese movie where many of the local Chinese students were touched and blessed. A group stayed over to minister the next day on Sunday service.
